WINGED SERVITORS

Armitage File Clock > 6/6 > New File Appears

Still kind of shell shocked from the conversation with the colorless time traveler Armitage stumbles to the entrance of the Circus.

Then he suddenly stops, frozen in his tracks, as he sees Lucy, a good friend since university times, during university even a little more than friends.

But it is not his suprise to see Lucy here at this creepy circus. It is the winged figure that rapidly comes closer behind lucy. A figure much larger as a bird.

Nearing her now were this giant creature, as if conjured from the most surreal corners of a digital horror game. Not quite the shadows of a crow, nor the silhouette of a bas, nor the grotesque form of a decayed body — this entity defied categorization. It’s feet, webbed and unnatural, slapped against the asphalt, while it’s leathery wings occasionally flapped, giving them an eerily inconsistent gait.

Stress and Insight > 2 > No change

Adrenaline is shooting through Armitages body, stopping him from contemplating the horror behind his friend.

Instinctvely he grabs his gun and shoots!

Human Die + Occupation vs Failure [Lucy gets attacked] > 4,3,2 > “The Agent succeeds competently. They describe how. “

As the creature reaches out with what seems to it’s head to grab or bite Lucy, a precisioned Shot from Armitages trusted revolver hits a soft spot between the creaturs beak. The force of the hit throws ist head back and dark blood is spilling through the air.

As the dark fluid is showering Lucy, she realizes what is going on behind her and she starts to scream manically.

Armitage rushes in to grab Lucy and to bring her to safety > Human Die + Occupation vs Failure [Armitage and Lucy get attacked again] > 4,4,1 > “The Agent succeeds competently. They describe how. “

Armitage drags Lucy into the Tent were the hoochy-coochy show took place earlier.

Are still people in the tent > likely > Yes

The show is still ongoing, and barely clothed women are performing a show between clowns performance, burlesque and other undiscrible influences. The mood of the performers and the sparse audience is good.

Till the winged beast rushes through the tent entrance, Seemingly randomly grabing into the tent. With ist razor sharp beak it splits one of the dancers in half, which dies so quickly she has not even the time to scream.

Armitage with Lucy on his hand is rushing to the other side of the tent, hoping the tent and the other people would distract the creature long enough to make an escape.

Is the creature catching up 50/50 > Yes

Unfortunately does the creature munches and claws it way quickly thourgh every human and non human obstacle.

Armitage decides to shot again.

Human Die + Occupation vs Failure [Armitage and Lucy get attacked again] > 6,3,3 > “The Agent succeeds brilliantly and gets thing extra. Maybe more than they some bargained for. The Handler may confront them With a difficult truth. “

Then he realizes a big gas bottle feeding the heat lamps of the tent, standing directly beside the tent.

Shooting those should light up the creature and the tent, and everyone who is not getting out in time, which will be a bunch of people not as lucky as armitage and Lucy standing directly beside the exit of the tent.

Armitage aims on the gas bottles and shots.

Armitage:”Lucy! Jump out!”

Armitage und Lucy are jumping out of the tent. An explosion is filling tent with flames, which rapidly is ingulfed by flames.

The sound of an unnaturaul scream mixed with the sound of a dozen burning human voices twisted in agony is filling the air. For some moments, then there is eerie silence hovering on the backdrop of fire crackling.

Stress and Insight > 3 > Stress rises to 3

Lucy:”What the fuck just happened?”

Armitage:”I don’t know. Why are you here?”

Lucy:”You told me to give you this!”

Armitage:”I… holy crap, let me see!”

Lucy is handing Armitage a Letter. The handwriting seems manic, but is undeniable the one from Armitage. He received the second letter.
