Derek has a plan. But for that he needs to climb over those bodies again.

Climbing over the bodies to the exit > Human Die vs Fail(He stumbles across a dead body) > 5, 4 > Agent succeeds with an advantage>

Somehow Derek got used to climbing over lifeless comulations of flesh and therefore quiet elegantly passes over those bodies.

Does the entity tries to stop him? 50/50 > No>

The entity seems not to mind what Derek is doing. More and more carbon black tendrills are sprawling out of Lester’s body and seemingly consume the cabin from the inside out.

Derek stands in front of the exit door, the door white opened. He give Lester a last look and thinks “I hope you burn son of a witch!”

He switches the lights on, and as quickly as he can turn his back to the cabin and tries to jump out of the door. But quasi instantly he is blasted away from the cabin by the force of the gas explosion.

Is Derek sevierly hurt? > 50/50 > Yes > > one harm gained > Survive Mental>

Derek got blasted against a tree. His back is badly burned. Derek smells burned leather and flesh. He is not sure if his limbs are broken but he is not able to put himself up. All what is left is his will to survive.

Can Derek reach his phone? likely > No
Is the phone destroyed? 50/50 > Yes, Interupt Scene, Ambiguos Event, Block Adversity

Derek tries to find his phone in his pocket, but when tries to pull it out of his jacket, feeling the burning pain on his back, he feels a resistance holding it back.

As he turns to see his lack, he sees his a tendril coming out of the downside of the pocket, seemingly attached to the phone.

Are more parts oh his body covered or affected by the tendrils? likely > yes > Limit Constrain >

But the pocket is the kesser evil. The tendril in his pocket stems from the carbon black tendrils sprawling over both of Agent Dereks legs.

Are the tendrils actively moving> 50/50 > No, Remote Event , Combine Military

Derek tries to keep his cool as he inspect his leg. He starts to feel relieved when he discovers that the tendrils seem to not move. May be he was successful to kill this thing.

His thoughts were abruptly interupted by the loud noise of rotating helicopter blades.
He has to have his lucky day today.

The helicopter comes closer to the remains of the cabin.

Is something in the remains react to the helicopter? unlikely > yes

The cabin door of the Helicopter opens and reveals a man in a biohazard suit with a flamethrower in his hands.
But before he can distribute his hot load, a bunch of tendrills are shooting in the direction of the helicopter.
